For those of you who don't know me, want to know me or don' bother about me.
My name is Susiayanto Bin Sunaryo, i originate from a small town of Semarang in central Java..U WISHHHH!!!
Whenever I introduce myself, the first question i get is "are you from Indonesia?", and ive been hearing that for like 16 years(taking in consideration that I can think by 6).HELLO PEOPLE. Not all javanese live in Indonesia ok or Java to be exact like not all Chinese are from China and Indians from India.Do you ask a Malay guy whether he's from Malaysia? No what...then why am i getting this ridiculous stereotype?
Its not that i am ashamed of being called an Indonesian.Its just that after awhile....you get tired or such things.
If you are wondering what my name means, you are not going to get any answer.I tried asking for it once from my dad.....and i think it has taken him more than 10 years to come with a logical answer....and still counting.Once, my ustaz(religious teacher) told me that your name will determine the person you become.At that time, being gullible,dumb and all...i bought the whole thing.He said that if you have a name like Mujjahid (warrior or islam) or Amin (the honest one) than most likely you are going to possess those qualities.The same goes for names taken after great Islamic Icons like prophets or warriors.He added that names which carry a negative meaning ought to be change.That happened to my tutor kak Norbila once. She was once called Norzaini,however, when she turned 16, her mum's ustaz told her that her name is not suitable.Well, Nor or Nur represents light(as in sunlight) which is good.However, zaini (zina) means premarital sex.So overall her name means.....well....you figure k (HINT: nor = good, zaini= sex).
Anywayz i got over the name issue when i was in sec 2.I mean just flip the papers and look at crime reports. Majority of the malay criminals have names like Muhammad so and so.Haha.....mayb they screw up.I mean if you are having a Muslim name than dont do crimes lah.If you want to do drugs,prostitution etc,than get other names like John or James.By the way is Ali G muslim? Mayb he too should have a name change.
